It hasn't been a lack of inspiration...

...she's only getting cuter.

Maya is nearing 10 months.

She currently has her own version of 'crawling' (dragging/sliding/scooting/rolling her body accross the floor)...the form is a bit unconventional, but it seems to get her where she needs to go. Besides, she's usually much happier on her feet.

For a while she loved to say "uh-oh". Well actually, it was more like "uh-uh-uh-uh..." whenever something fell. That word has been out of commission for a while.
Currently she likes to attempt "S" words. Like her doll's name, "SA-SHA!" and "Sock". She's beginning to have longer conversations (where none of the words are recognizable) with great expression and seriousness.
Her most frequent word is "dada" and it isn't always necessarily a reference to her father. Most of the time she really means "dada," but occasionally it can be substituted for... pretty much anything (since she knows it's her most impressive and solid linguistic accomplishment.)
"Mama" is occasionally said, though usually only in desperation, but both "Papa" (Grandpa Corbin) and "Bampa" (Grandpa Rudd) seem to be favorite words.

Maya loves to throw her hands up....holding them high as long as someone will say "SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

....big." (when she finally slaps her hands down dramatically)

When the adult narrating her motions grows tired (or out of breath) from the (if she weren't so engaging and sweet...it'd be obnoxioulsly) long "SOOOOO" game, she'll start waving "hi".

But she saves her most adorable trick for the end of her routine. She shrugs her shoulders, raises her eyebrows, and wrinkles up her face...
It's her..."I dunno?" expression.

And it's our favorite right now.
